Let me start by saying that I did it in a healthy way to show everyone that it is possible. I didn't have a coach or trainer and I did everything by myself. MY Diet, MY workouts, and MY preparation. I listened to MY body and did what was right for me and it rewarded me in the end. So here is the recap of my weekend:
Friday-
I got my nails and brows done and finished up last minute things before I headed to my cousin, Loris house to put on my tan and do my hair. I owe a big thanks to her and I would have not been able to do this without her.
I woke up at 5am Saturday morning, reapplied another coat of tan and Lori did my hair and make up. She did such an amazing job if anyone is interested in her contact info let me know. I am so happy and thankful that I have family in my life that will support me. She woke up at 5am just to help me get ready before work.
Note- I don't wear extensions- that's all my hair. So many girls asked me and couldn't believe it but that's all my hair. Of course Lori made it look awesome tho!
Then I drove to Cinci and got ready to compete at 10am.
If you have never been to a competition this is how it goes:
Prejudging- This is the time where the judges actually compare the contestants. We walk out, do a front pose, turn around and do a back pose, and then we line up. They switched me twice to compare me to other girls and then we walk off.
Show- At 6 pm we walk out and do the actual show. We only do a front and back pose, then we line up and they announce who won.
I won my class- Bikini C- Tall. There was about 30 girls competing in bikini total.
Now since I won my class, I have to compete against the winners of class A and B in a pose off. The judging is done live during the show and they make us walk and turn a bunch of times to compare us. Then we file off the stage and they announce the winner.
I WON!!!!! I won overall Bikini, NPC Monster Mash Natural. It was an amazing experience and I am so happy that I achieved my goals. I still cant believe it!
My cheering section-
So by the time it was all over I had to treat myself to a fine meal :)
I had a big burger and fries and my friends got me a big dessert to celebrate. I actually was so exhausted by the end of the night that all I wanted to do was shower and go to bed... and that's exactly what I did.
Diet:
A lot of girls actually develop eating disorders because of these competitions and I wanted to do this to show everyone that you can do it in a healthy way and still achieve your goals. I kept carbs in and actually ate a very balanced diet. I DID NOT fast EVER or any time and I ate all day during my competition. I didn't cut out sodium and I didn't dehydrate myself. I did what was right for my body and did it in a completely healthy way.

I reached out to a few competitors and the best advise they gave me was to not listen to anyone and do what is right for you. They helped me figure out little things that I didn't know, like the details of the day of and what not. I mostly googled and Youtubed to figure out everything to do as well. Again I had no help in any of this. So here is proof that YOU can do it just like I did and come out on top.
Thank you to everyone that came out and supported me or supported me from afar. Also to my amazing cousin for helping me put everything together. All the girls I competed with were amazing and I am so happy that I had the opportunity to meet all of them. Thank you Nichole Bowman for taking all my pictures and doing two photo shoots with me.
I am on a high and am already looking at two shows to start prepping for. I think I will take about a month off but that doesn't mean that I am gonna fall of the bandwagon. I will still exercise and eat clean like I have always done... with a few treats here and there.
Thanks again to everyone who congratulated me. Feeling the love from everyone and it feels great. Also I got my scores back today and guess what?? I got a perfect score! So awesome.
