Getting back on track!

Hey Everyone!
So I am done with finals- YAY!!!! I am back home and I start my internship in a week at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

A lot of people have been talking to me about how they have gotten off track lately with their workouts and eating. So I want to get you back on track.

Let me just say that with finals and moving out its been a stressful two weeks. Also since I was about to move out, I didn't want to buy a bunch of food and have to throw it all out. So I am as much off track as you.

Lets re-cap:
#1-Finished up finals week (of course I had a final on Friday the last day at 3pm). I went straight to Broney's for my last night in Athens with all my roommies. Ok so there is a burger, and drinks till 2am.

#2-Woke up after sleeping on the FLOOR, getting no sleep, exhausted and I packed up my car and cleaned everything up. When everyone got home from graduation the families had a cook out- Ok so that a bunch of food that was great but not so beneficial to my waist line. Lets just say I helped myself to everything, lol.

#3- Drove home Saturday and got straight in the car and drove to Youngstown. Not getting there until 7:30pm, I was starving and walking into a bridal shower full of yummy treats- didn't help. I think that was pepperoni rolls, chips and dip.. I didddd have some fruit but that didnt help. They had yummy Sangria too.

#4- Woke up, went to Cracker Barrel and had the Mama's Pancake breakfast. After feeling like complete crap not and exhausted still I went to the hotel gym and ran on their piece of crap treadmill. I did some pushups, situps, dips, and squats- what kind of gym doesn't own a set of free weights or anything?? Only in Youngstown.

#5- Went to the actual bridal shower and ate the catered food there.

So this is a perfect example of getting off schedule. I'm not perfect and that why its ok to give yourself a little break. But now its time to get back on track.

After the long drive back I was still exhausted but guess what? I knew I had work in the morning and I was not going to continue this crap one more day! My stomach was bloated and my energy was low. It was definitely because I wasn't treating my body right. So I got my butt back in the car and drove to Earth Fair Market (a health food store right by my house) and bought some healthy food.

I then came home and boiled 12 eggs and boiled 1 cup of steel cut oats because I knew I didn't want to wake up early and do that. So I was ready to start my week off the right was.

What I ate yesterday:

Breakfast- Steel cut oats with greek yogurt, 0% non fat, honey and strawberries. I just popped it into the microwave and I was ready to go to work. I also brought along a green tea to purk me up.

Snack- 2 boiled eggs and a kiwi

Lunch- A power meal-they sell these at Earth Fair and they are great pre-packaged salads

Snack- Almonds and some blueberries

Dinner- chicken with green beans and a sweet potato- thanks to my mom!

Post workout- 1 peach Chobani greek yogurt, 1 banana, 1/2c fat free organic milk

I went in the gym and lifted shoulders. In between sets I did up downs and I did 30mins on the treadmill.

Today I woke up and my stomach was flat as a board and I wasn't tired at all. You know why? Because I treated my body right! Now I am back to normal.

I am leaving for Boston in the morning and I am not going to let an 11hr road trip throw me off. I am going back to the store tonight and I am going to pack a bunch of healthy snacks. I also refuse to eat fast food if you don't know me other than Starbucks, Panera and Chipotle. So I cant starve!

I hope this helps inspire you to get back on track. Till next time~ stay healthy.
